well i found a chart of moving cycles...so i decided to test one out: the running cycle...yep! should practice a little animation before i try to apply to an animation school...just want to dabble my hands in it a bit... :)

and as a small critique, he looks more like he's running and then taking a jump over something. and i'm not sure, but are your arms moving opposite to their legs? like when the left arm swings back, the left leg swings forward and when the left arm swings forward, the left leg swings back and vice versa along with the right side. just mentioning that due to myself not being able to see if you got the pattern since this is a practice sketch c: you got it down pretty good though =)

oh and the arms and legs are opposite from each other...you can't see it that well because it's rough... :thanks:

yeah! :D

oh! and i found the problem with it looking like he's running-jumping...there's one frame where all his libs are extended outward and his whole body is suspended...i took that frame away and he's just straight running...i think whoever made the movement chart wanted to put a pop within the running sequence... :)

hehe yea, we had to know how to animate walking, running, bouncing ball, heavy ball drop, wave movement, jumping, lotsa stuff. you're a lot further than many of the animation students at my school XD

i think so... if what I'm thinking you're talking about is correct. but yea, we had to pencil and paper animate at first though

oh ok...i think animating on paper is much better than animating it on photoshop...i just discovered how much i hate drawing on photoshop... :D
