lately i've been focusing on saburith's development...before the demon pirates got involved with the conflict between the country of strafford and the sorcerers, he was a cheerful, womanizing alcoholic...never thought about anyone else but himself...but when percilla was badly injured by emperor amendorus, he developed a great amount of guilt for not protecting her...soon he had constant nightmares of finding percilla (sometimes younger) dead or dying, feeling helpless and full of shame...after percilla recovered from her injuries, saburith becomes clingy and over protective to make sure she doesn't kill herself...

story: because of the war against sorcerers, percilla and saburith (friend) were torn apart from their families, due to what their families have been practicing for many generations...because of their good health, they were sent to a laboratory for experimentation...they were literally going to be a human weapon of the war against their own kind.

what the doctors did was inject parts of DNA from different animals into the DNA of the human lab rats...traumatic as it was, persilla and saburith were able to cope by staying with each other...they stayed in that lab for 4 years...after the doctors declared that the experiment was unsuccessful, they gave them a drug, which was almost like amnesia, and threw them into the streets of a small town...almost a year later, a man takes them in and raises them as his own...and the funny thing is that the man was a pirate...

so several years later, they roamed around the streets and towns stealing things...and because of their appearance, they were called "the demon pirates"...soon, they began to have flashbacks of their traumatic childhood...which begins their epic journey!
